Run With a Team!

The tradition continues in 2008 - run with a team! Enjoy this classic road race with your fellow club members or business colleagues as you run to the rhythm of Philly's top musicians through the scenic and historic sights of the city.

Team Divisions

Teams - consisting of 3-5 members - may enter as either a CLUB or CORPORATE team in one of the following divisions:

• Open Men
• Open Women
• Open Mixed
• Masters Men
• Masters Women

Please note: Each team member must pick up his/her own race registration packet at the Expo. Team captains or a designated team member cannot pick up packets for other team members.

• Online team registration is open through August 29, 2008.
• The first step of online team registration is for the team captain to create a team roster online and pay for the team. (The captain is charged the full team fee.) Then each team member registers separately under the team name.

Online Team Registration Instructions – Team Captains

The Team Captain registers first, creates the team name, and pays for the team. Please follow these steps:

1. Visit the Team Registration Page
2. Select the Category (Corporate or Club Team Registration), agree to the waiver, then click Register Online.
3. The Team Captain must log into their account with their Login ID and Password. (First time users will need to click on the Create New Account button, fill out personal information, then click submit.)
4. Once you’ve gained access to your account, make sure the event is in your basket. Thenclick the Go to Checkout button. (If the event is not in your basket, simply minimize the page and go back to the waiver page to reselect the category, agree to the waiver and click Register Online again. The event should/will pop back into your basket.)
5. This will direct you to the Details page, which is where youmust fill out all highlighted fields, select your team division, create your team name and select maximum number of members. (Requiring a password is recommended, so that only the appropriate team members register for your team.)
6. When you have completed the details page, click Save, then click Go to Checkout button.
7. This will direct you to the payment page. You will then enter your credit card information and click the Submit Payment button. Please make sure to wait for the transaction to complete. You will receive an automatic receipt to print for your records.
8. Whenyou’ve completed the registration, you should forward the instructions below to your team members. Please be sure to relay which category (Corporate or Club), team division (Masters Men, Masters Women, Mix, etc.), Team name, and password to each team member.

Online Team Registration Instructions - Team Members

After receiving team category, name and password from the Team Captain, individual team members should follow these steps:

1. Visit the Team Registration Page
2. Select the appropriate Category (Corporate or Club Team Registration), agree to the waiver, then click Register Online.
3. Each team member must log into their account with their Login ID and Password. (First time users will need to click on the Create new Account button, fill out personal information, then click submit.)
4. When you have gained access to your account, make sure the event is in your basket, then click the Go to Checkout button. (If the event is not in your basket, simply minimize the page and go back to the waiver page to reselect the category, agree to the waiver, and click Register Online again. The event should/will pop back into your basket.) Please do not worry about the payment--the entry fee will be deducted once you complete the next page.
5. This will direct you to the Details page, which is where youmust fill out all highlighted fields, select your team division, select your team name from the drop down menu next to the pick a group/team button, enter the required password. (All this information should have been provided by your team captain.) Then click Save and the Go to Checkout button.
6. You will not have to pay for your entry, since the team captain paid for the team in full.
7. When your registration is complete, you will receive an e-mail confirmation.

Register By Mail Or Fax

• Each team member must complete an individual entry form and submit to Team Captain.
• The Team Captain completes the Team Registration form, attaches the individual entries and the appropriate payment, and submits them together in one entry packet.
• Entry fee must accompany team registration forms. Entry fee is payable by credit card, check or money order to ING Philadelphia Distance Run.
• All team materials must be mailed/faxed by August 29, 2008.

Team Rules

• Each team member must pick up his/her own race packet at the Expo. Team captains or a designated team member cannot pick up packets for other team members.
• There will be no team registration at the expo.
• Team entries must be postmarked or fax-dated by August 29, 2008 and must include the individual entries AND the Team Registration form.
• Team Registration Forms and individual entry forms must be submitted together. Entry forms submitted and paid independently by individuals cannot be credited or refunded if the runner later decides to run with a team.
• Substitutions, additions, and changes to the team roster will not be permitted after the Team Registration Form and individual entries are submitted and the team entry fee is paid.

Team Awards

The fastest 3 times score for the team. At least one of the three scoring team members in the Open Mixed division must be a woman. Team awards will be given three deep in each division. Each member of the winning teams receives an award.
